The virus either has your number or it does not. With a glut of vaccines and treatments and more on the way, there is no reason to shelter in place any longer.
In fact, I would say it is our responsibility to ourselves as adults, to our children, and the greater society to knock this bullshit off.
Turn the lights on and get busy livin’, as was said in The Shawshank Redemption.
The virus came and clobbered us. The health care institutions were caught flat-footed. Led by overpaid globalist conventioneers, high on gift bags, and green room brie, our health bureaucracies missed the ball and have been playing catch up ever since.
Beltway clerics like Tony Fauci and Francis Collins marinated in their own self-importance, recharged daily by a panicked media.
This morning, CNN’s Dana Bash asked Fauci this: “How should vaccinated AND boosted people behave?”
Imagine a grown woman, never mind a journalist asking such a question of a DC hack?
But Fauci, Walensky, and the rest are visibly aroused by such questions and have the gargantuan hubris to dish guidance on how one should “behave.”
The media laps it all up with great reverence.
No mention is made of the fact that these same Covid Task Force all-stars encouraged Americans to break all the rules during the George Floyd protests.
It’s all horse shit.
It’s over.
I got the vax and the booster. Both kicked my ass. Maybe I already had covid and it was milder than those shots. Maybe not.
Everyone it seems is getting Covid, now. Omicron or Delta or whatever. I think my wife and kids had it last week but we’re not sure because the big health brains in Washington and the $4 trillion bucks we’ve pushed at Covid did not result in enough home tests to know anything. Nor did all of that result in enough of the masks that actually provide a little protection.
Nobody really knows anything but many people are paid a lot to pretend.
And many of us like being told what to do, apparently. The only thing matching our fondness for demonstrative compliance is our yearning to call out others for their insufficiencies.
This is a stupid time.
Half of the country is caught in a hysterical loop, panicking over cases of the new variant and demanding that we disrupt our lives in an effort to avoid disrupting our lives.
Enough.
Finito.
Nobody Knows Anything
I’ve been saying this for a while. I was done in 2020. My daughter is home from work today because they didn’t have enough healthy people to open…Starbucks. Maybe that’ll wake some people up. Are we going to continue to let Covid and those elites in charge rule our lives?
Well said, Tom.
